Why Choose Us?

We want to leave a legacy of happy, healthy, strong, and sustainable communities!  Everything we do is based around the core ethics of caring for the Earth, caring for people, and giving a fair share of the gifts we are given.

We never use synthetic chemicals, plastics, or pesticides in any of our gardens. Our methods regenerate ecosystems and benefit wildlife. In the long run, we aim to build regional small businesses and co-ops that provide for our basic needs of food, shelter, and medicine.

We aim to give people more nutrition, health, and fulfillment, while using less fossil fuels, plastic, and pesticides. Reach out now to help create more happy, healthy, resilient, and self-sufficient communities!

"The strongest feature is a tie between 1) your expertise, and the fact that we're in the space where you've done the work and 2) the small class size that allows space for lots of questions and personalized changes."

Review of PDC Weekend Class

"I would absolutely recommend this course. I'm so incredibly thankful for this experience! I would say come with an open heart, and take it as an opportunity to grow... be willing to share and embrace the time. It's a life changing investment!"

Review of 2023 PDC

"I was lucky to find Trees and Teas prior to the COVID19 pandemic and purchased their Rest & Digest. It has been so valuable during this now stressful time. Thank you!"

Amy Terzino

"I had purchased your CBD salve and used it recently on the inflamed and painful muscles in my back after having slipped a disc. The salve was amazing, I've tried a lot of different things over the years but nothing that helped as much as this. Great product and highly recommended! Thanks"

About Us

Garrett Heator

Owner

I grew up with four generations of family helping my great grandparents tend and harvest a garden that stocked our pantry through the Michigan winters.  As I learned more about the environmental problems people are causing, I was compelled to become more of a producer than a consumer, and to do so in a way that stewards the earth that provides for us.

By day I'm a middle school teacher, and on nights and weekends I work on establishing a you-pick orchard, expanding trees and perennials available for nursery sales, and growing and preserving herbal remedies.
